This was my interpretation of the Celtic Tree of Life. In my late teens and early 20’s, I began exploring many different perspectives in philosophy, theology, and the expansion of consciousness. I became very interested in the collective consciousness and the interconnectedness of all beings. This idea became very prevalent in my work at the time through distorting and merging human forms together. This was the beginning of my interest in Surrealism and Magic Realism. I was intuitively drawn to this genre because of the exploration of the subconscious mind. I found that the interpretation of reality is not absolute. It can morph and evolve as we question what we think is real. The deeper we look within the depths of our own consciousness; the more reality expands beyond the limits of what we think is possible.
